Carol and Susan get married with Monica catering, and Ross, who refused to attend, ends up talking Carol out of calling it off, while Rachel's mother announces that she is leaving Rachel's father.

What happens

• Carol and Susan tell Ross that they are getting married, and Ross insists he is delighted for them.
• Monica takes over the catering for the wedding after Carol and Susan's caterer is badly injured.
• Ross tells his friends that he will not be going to the wedding.
• The group watches Joey's first appearance on Days of our Lives as the neurosurgeon Drake Ramoray.
• One of Phoebe's clients dies on her massage table, and Phoebe becomes convinced that the woman's spirit has moved into her.
• Rachel's mother visits and tells Rachel that she is considering leaving Rachel's father.
• Mr. Adelman tells Phoebe that his wife had wanted to see everything before she died.
• Rachel confronts her mother, who explains that Rachel got out of the marriage she herself stayed in.
• Carol tells Ross that she is calling off the wedding because her parents refuse to come, and Ross convinces her to go through with it.
• The spirit leaves Phoebe during the ceremony, and afterwards Susan thanks Ross and gets him onto the dance floor.
