The One Where Ross is Fine
Ross insists he is fine about Joey and Rachel becoming a couple and throws them a dinner party, drinks his way through it, and the next morning gives Joey his blessing, while Chandler tells a boy he is adopted.
What happens
- Joey and Rachel confess to Ross that they have kissed twice, including once in Barbados.
- Ross declares repeatedly that he is fine and insists on cooking the two of them a fajita dinner the next night.
- Monica and Chandler are lost in adoption paperwork, and Phoebe puts them in touch with her friends Bill and Colleen, who adopted a son.
- Frank Jr. admits to Phoebe that four years without sleep have broken him, and he asks her to take one of the triplets off his hands.
- Chandler meets Bill and Colleen's son Owen and lets slip that the boy is adopted, which Owen did not know.
- Ross drinks his way through several batches of margaritas at the dinner and grabs the fajita plate without oven mitts.
- Frank Jr. finds he cannot part with any of the three children, and Phoebe offers to babysit so he and Alice get a day off.
- Owen announces his news in front of his parents and reveals that Chandler paid him fifty dollars to keep quiet.
- Ross falls apart during a toast to the new couple, Charlie leaves early, and Rachel goes home while Joey stays behind.
- Joey tells Ross that he and Rachel will not go further without his approval, and Ross tells Joey to stop waiting and be with her.
