The One With the Tiny T-Shirt

Ross and Rachel divide their belongings after the breakup and fight over an old T-shirt, Monica tells Pete she is not attracted to him, and Joey's feud with his co-star Kate turns into attraction.

What happens

• Mark tells Rachel he has wanted to ask her out since before she was single, and Rachel says she will think it over.
• Monica tells the others that Pete is generous and funny but that she feels no physical attraction to him at all.
• At the first rehearsal Kate dismisses Joey as a soap actor and recognises him from an infomercial, which humiliates him.
• Rachel hands Ross a box of the things he left behind, and Ross retaliates by demanding his book and the T-shirt she sleeps in.
• Ross squeezes into the undersized old T-shirt and walks out wearing it rather than let Rachel keep it.
• Monica admits to the group that she is only ever drawn to men who have no future with her.
• Ross watches Rachel's date with Mark through the peephole, and Chandler physically stops him from interrupting and makes him accept that the relationship is finished.
• Rachel calls off her date with Mark partway through, telling him she only agreed to it to hurt Ross.
• Monica tells Pete plainly that she is not attracted to him, and Pete replies that he expects her to change her mind.
• Chandler tells Joey that his constant complaining about Kate is a crush, and Joey concedes he has been imagining her sexually.
• Joey kisses Kate properly during the rehearsal and asks her out for coffee, but she leaves with the director instead.
