The One With Monica's Boots

Thursday, 6 December 2001

Monica buys boots she can neither afford nor walk in, Joey's youngest sister tells him she is pregnant, and Phoebe schemes her way toward Sting concert tickets through Ben's school.

What happens

• Monica shows Chandler a pair of boots that cost more than their rent and refuses to take them back.
• Ross tells Phoebe he cannot get the Sting tickets she wants, because Ben and Sting's son are enemies at school.
• Dina cuts off Rachel's careers talk and admits she came for help because she is pregnant.
• Dina tells Joey about the pregnancy, and Joey walks out rather than look at her.
• Phoebe passes herself off as Ben's other mother to a new teacher and gets Sting's home contact details.
• Monica finally admits the boots have crippled her, and Chandler agrees to carry her home on his back.
• Joey brings Bobby to the apartment and starts marrying him to Dina, until Rachel stops the ceremony and tells Joey they are adults.
• Sting's wife Trudie refuses Phoebe any tickets once she works out the scheme, and sets off a silent alarm.
• Dina tells Joey she was more frightened of him than of their parents, and Joey promises to be the baby's uncle.
• Ross turns up with two Sting tickets, and Phoebe checks the seats are far enough back to keep her legal.
